Painting with Leaves

Today I was sitting in my bathrobe bored to tears. It's Saturday, I am procrastinating on my finals studying, and Nick is at work. The obvious thing to do is arts and crafts. I turned to this tutorial I had seen a while back: Big Leaf Prints.

I started by collecting some leaves outside, and then getting out my drawer of paints.

You're supposed to spread some paint out (I used a tupperware lid for mixing) and then press the leaves into the paint, then transfer to the paper. It was supposed to look like this:

You know what it actually looked like?

Yeah, that was a big fail.
Maybe my leaves were just all wrong.

None the less, I should go study since pre-school crafts are apparently beyond me.
