2011 was a pretty decent year. There were highs and lows, but we really did realize how blessed we are. It could have been just a rock-bottom, terrible year, but the people that surround us helped us make it a good year. Let's reminsce, shall we?
2011 started with a beautiful snow storm. Nick and I had busy, busy schedules that made life difficult...and we may continue to do that in 2012, actually... Tom designed a new look for my blog, which I still love. I told you a bit about what I was like as a child. My mom had some health problems, but ended up okay. Nick turned 28 (but I guess we were too busy celebrating at the steak house for me to blog about it).
I discovered gray hairs in my hair, and developed a 6 month long eye twitch. I remembered just how much I want to be a teacher. I discovered my latex allergy, and Nick discovered his gluten allergy.
We moved out of Magalia and down to Chico, finally getting us off the mountain and into the valley. Our roommate went kind of crazy, which screwed things up for quite a while. But, we had some amazing family members help us out, and we learned to be positive again. The Career Fair that I spent ~6 months organizing went off without problem, and I got a ton of praise at work for it.
I did a lot of crafty things around our new (2nd) apartment, like making coasters and painting canvas. But, I also had a few failed crafts. I started my senior year of college, which turned out to be a great first semester. I became momentarily obsessed with decorating my apartment. We got our new bikes, which we still adore and ride all the time.
Nick got a job at an auction house, which launched us into crazy busy people (as if we weren't that already). I was given additional responsibilities at work, which made me fall in love with ESL students all over again.
We celebrated my dad's would-be 74th birthday. Nick and I celebrated 6 years of being together, and 4 years of marriage (promise to write about that next year, since I guess I missed it this year).
I dressed up as Belle for Halloween, with my bestie Snow White. I joined Relay for Life for my Daddy, which has made me feel so much better. I turned 24, and prepared myself for 25. We had a really wonderful Christmas, and we remembered again just how blessed we are.

Ohhh, I love this post! Now I'm wishing I would have done something like this...but it wouldn't have been nearly as fun as yours. I can't believe everything that happened in 2011. Hopefully 2012 is amazing for all of us!
Happy New Year, sweet Patty! :)
